A mysterious object spotted soaring above the Smoke Stack last night was later identified as none other than Santa Claus and his reindeer. The jolly gift-giver felt Flin Flon was the perfect place to test his new sleigh brakes, which were installed Monday at a North Pole body shop. "Ho, ho, ho, I always love coming to Flin Flon at this time of the year," said Santa shortly after landing near the 777 Headframe. "I love seeing all of the colourful lights on the houses and I love all of the wonderful children here." During his brief stop, Santa made a stunning revelation, mentioning that not one child in Flin Flon, Creighton, Denare Beach or Cranberry Portage is on his Naughty List this year. See 'Very' P.# Con't from P.# "I don't ever remember an entire town, never mind a region, having such good little boys and girls," said Santa as he fed Rudolph a carrot. "The children should be very proud of themselves." "You don't even want to know the kind of stuff those kids down south did to get on the Naughty List," he added. St. Nick made the trip to Flin Flon with most of his reindeer. Noticeably absent from the front of his sleigh were Cupid and Blitzen, who were still getting over a bout of the flu. Both expect to recover in time for the big Christmas trip tonight. "It's going to be a very, very busy Christmas for us, as usual," laughed Santa, his breath visible in the crisp winter air. "But I guess we can't complain. We only work the one day a year." Munching on a brittle oatmeal cookie, Santa spoke of how fortunate he feels to have such a "hard-working" team of elves to build all of the toys he will deliver to children throughout the world. "They work as hard as you people up here do," he said with a chuckle. As he climbed back onto his cushy sleigh seat, a grin as wide as Ross Lake came across the jolly man's bearded face. "Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night," he shouted as his reindeer-drawn sleigh darted into the dark winter sky.
