No Blueberry Jam? No problem. With Flin Flon’s biggest musical event long since cancelled, the Flin Flon Arts Council is planning to fill that stage with a series of performances on the main stage.

The performances will be called the Summer Concert Series and will involve a rotation of local bands throughout the summer, each performing on the main stage of the Blueberry Jam Music Gathering.

The series kicked off with a pair of performances by the Usual Suspects June 28 and will continue with The Whyte playing on the main stage July 18 at 8 and 10 p.m, weather permitting.

Tickets will be limited to 100 attendees for each show and all visitors will need to bring their own chairs and socially distance.

“That is a series that will be continuing,” said Kari Rutherford with the arts council.

“The Summer Music Series will be continuing forward with several bands that are kind of on deck. That’s what we can confirm right now.”

All COVID-19 public health protocols will apply, including one entrance and one exit. All visitors will need to enter the area through the Rotary Wheel entrance near Dadson Row and travel to the stage site in small groups.
