The annual Seniors' Luncheon at Creighton Community School was a big hit again this year, as guests filled the school's gymnasium on Friday. The luncheon was held in conjunction with the International Day of the Elderly Person, and gave everyone, both young and older, a chance to celebrate the occasion together. While enjoying their lunch, the guests were treated to a variety of entertainment by students. Jane Robillard, the Community School Co-ordinator, welcomed everyone to the luncheon and made mention of all the different groups that helped out with the event. "Our lunch is possible because everyone helps," she said, adding that "Judy Weber's grade 2 class delivered the invitations, Millie Hill's grade 3 class made the table centers, Kerrilyn Behrman's friendship students made the favours for you to take home, the grade 5 and 6 girls were big contributors, Jason Straile and his gym class set up everything, Janine Rivard and students made the cookies, Robertine Elliott and the community school staff were responsible for the food, Noelle Gogal's grade 7's are the waiters and waitresses, our SLC students greeted you at the door, and several parent volunteers came in to help out, to make this a truly community luncheon."
