Flin Flon students will help shape their own education. Over the next few weeks, students in Grades 4-12 will share their thoughts on their schools in an anonymous online survey. 'This is a tool that we'll use to collect students' perceptions about their schools,' said Superintendent of Schools Blaine Veitch. Veitch, who hopes for 100 per cent participation from students, said the survey will let students express their opinions on a range of topics. The resultant data will help educators improve student learning and foster a safe and welcoming environment in all of the schools, the superintendent said. In other school news, Grade 9 students from Hapnot Collegiate will take part in Take Your Kids to Work Day on Nov. 6. It will be a chance for youth to learn more about different workplaces and ponder what careers interest them.
