Students from grade 7 through grade 10 at Creighton Community School have been busy collecting food and nearly new clothes for people in the community who aren't as fortunate as they are. The food items will be donated to the Lord's Food Bounty, while the clothes will be given to the Salvation Army Thrift Store. Pictured (left to right) are Sara Thirnbeck, Cara Hill and Jordan King of the CCS Student Leadership Council. Also, the school is collecting food stuffs, with each class having food collection boxes in their classrooms. The food will go towards Christmas hampers for families within the school. The Advisory Council will supply potatoes and hams as well as books and toys for the kids. There are usually about 8-10 hampers made up with the excess food being donated to the Salvation Army for their hampers. This is their fifth year with this project. The Creighton Community School is indeed a 'community' school. Congratulations to students and staff who together are working to make everyone's lives just a little bit better at this time of the year! Don't forget the CCS Christmas concert on Thursday evening, December 16. 10/12/04
