Bells once again blared and textbooks once again opened yesterday when students headed back to school for their first classes of 2004. Having enjoyed a 16-day break from their studies, the nearly 1,800 students of McIsaac, Creighton, Parkdale, Ruth Betts, Many Faces and Hapnot schools were eager (some more than others) to hit the books. Hapnot students in particular may have needed the break, as they have a busy month ahead of them. They will have plenty of cramming to do with exams set to begin in just under three weeks, running from Monday, January 26 to Thursday, January 29. Hapnot will re-open for its second semester on Tuesday, February 4. Meanwhile, Many Faces will be closed on Monday, February 2 before re-opening on Tuesday, February 3 for its third quarter. The next big 'R and R' period students have to look forward to is spring break, which will begin on Monday, March 29 with the schools to re-open on Monday, April 5.
