Yesterday afternoon, the Creighton Community School was the scene of the Northern Saskatchewan Student Achievement Awards presentations. The Honorable Dr. Lynda Haverstock, the Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan, was in attendance to present the Lieutenant Governor's Award of Excellence to Caitlin Bloxom. This young lady has received an achievement award every year that she had attended Creighton Community School. Caitlin's average was a minimum of 90% and her school attendance was 95%. As well as her academic achievements, she also excels in sports and has coached synchronized swimming, has assisted with the Kelly Waterman School of Dance, and is a cheerleader coach as well as a certified life guard. Caitlin is currently attending the University of Manitoba where she is taking her first year of Sciences. Also at the awards ceremony at Creighton Community School was Dr. Dave Williams from the Canadian Space Agency who flew in the Columbia Space Shuttle in 1998.
