A 28-year-old Norway House man is dead after being struck by a suspected drunk driver over the weekend in that northern community. RCMP said Brian Luke Anderson died instantly when he was hit by by a pickup truck Saturday night while walking along the road. Police told The Winnipeg Sun that they believe rain and speed were factors in the collision. The 28-year-old driver of the truck, also a Norway House resident, has been charged with two drunk driving-related offenses and dangerous operation of a vehicle causing death, the newspaper reported.6/22/2004
