Submitted by RCMP During the early morning hours of September 22, 2011 a taxi was stolen from a private driveway in the Flin Flon area. The vehicle was recovered just off the Mitchell road near Channing. This vehicle has been one of several that have been reported stolen over the month of September. Some of the vehicles that have been stolen were a result of the keys being left in the vehicle. Flin Flon RCMP urge vehicle owners to protect themselves from vehicle theft by following these simple safety procedures: Do not leave keys in your vehicle Park your vehicle in a well lit area Keep the doors to your residence locked so would-be thiefs do not have access to keys within the residence. If a vehicle owner notices that they vehicle has been stolen, please contact the Flin Flon RCMP immediately. Flin Flon RCMP are urging anyone who may have information concerning car hefts in the Flin Flon area to contact the the local detachment or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
