The results of Manitoba's latest provincial standards exams show how Flin Flon high school students stack up against their counterparts across the province. Local students exceeded provincial statistics in more than half of the areas, according to results released at last week's school board meeting. The results from June's standards exams, required for high school graduation, are as follows: English 40S Provincial pass rate: 81.7 per cent Hapnot pass rate: 87.5 per cent Many Faces pass rate: 69.4 per cent Provincial mean: 63.8 per cent Hapnot mean: 59.4 per cent Many Faces mean: 57.3 per cent * * * Consumer Math 40S Provincial pass rate: 85.1 per cent Hapnot pass rate: 93.3 per cent Many Faces pass rate: 100 per cent Provincial mean: 64.8 per cent Hapnot mean: 69.8 per cent Many Faces mean: 74.7 per cent * * * Applied Math 40S Provincial pass rate: 62.9 per cent Hapnot pass rate: 62.5 per cent Provincial mean: 55.1 per cent Hapnot mean: 50.5 per cent * * * Pre-Calculus 40S Provincial pass rate: 79.8 per cent Hapnot pass rate: 82.6 per cent Provincial mean: 67.2 per cent Hapnot mean: 68.6 per cent These results have been shared with staff at the high schools in order to plan instruction and program delivery.
