Uptown businesses are teaming up for a unique promotion that will see one lucky person win a shopping spree. The Business Builders Association, an arm of the Flin Flon and District Chamber of Commerce, hopes to launch a stamp card program on Dec. 1. How does it work? Shoppers will pick up a special card at any participating business. They must then take the card to each of those businesses to be stamped, with no purchase necessary. Once they do that, they can bring their card into The Reminder to enter a draw for $50 gift certificates from each participating business. "The idea of the stamp card is we want to get the people into every one of the participating stores," said Doug O'Brien, president of the chamber of commerce. The goal is to have at least 20 businesses signed up for the promotion. If that mark is reached, the shopping spree prize would be worth a whopping $1,000. The draw is planned for Dec. 24.
