The Christmas tree at the Curves weightloss centre represents the spirit of the holidays, but the dozens of gifts under it exhibit a different kind of spirit Ñ that of giving. The roughly 100 teddy bears, dolls, board games and other gifts, donated by Curves members, will go to families in need this Christmas. "Our members are awesome," said manager Susan Petalik. "Some of them gave two or three gifts." The items were recently presented to Ida Kozar, who operates a children's gift program. The support for the program this year, Ida said, has been excellent, adding that the Curves donation "tops it off." Ida began taking appointments from applicants to the gift program yesterday at the Lord's Bounty Food Bank.
