City workers have had their mitted hands full removing piles upon piles of snow from the streets this month. Flin Flon has been inundated with the white stuff throughout January. In fact, there have only been two days in the entire month that it hasn't snowed, the 3rd and the 7th. The past eight days have seen 43.4 centimetres of snowfall, according to the weather office at the Flin Flon Municipal Airport. Fortunately, all of that snow hasn't wreaked any kind of havoc at the airport. It's just kept the workers extra busy. "If there's any snow on the runway, we have to keep it off," said airport operator Matt Lies. "We've spent lots of time on the plow and lots of time on the snowblower." The Weather Network has a fairly chilly forecast for the next few days, consisting of: a high of -19 degrees C with a low of -29 degrees C tomorrow; a high of -21 degrees C with a low of -30 degrees C on Friday; a high of -21 degrees C with a low of -30 degrees C on Saturday; and a high of -26 with a low of -31 degrees on Sunday.
