Snow Lake is among the communities benefitting from provincial funding for water and sewer infrastructure.
The town has been approved for $800,000, one of 27 communities sharing in $33 million in new funding unveiled by Municipal Government Minister Drew Caldwell last week.
It’s part of a two-year extension of the province’s annual investment program for water and sewer projects, Caldwell said.
Elsewhere in northern Manitoba, the Town of the Pas received $250,000.
“These projects are critical for allowing municipal governments to provide their ratepayers with clean drinking water for many decades to come,” Caldwell said in a news release.
