A mineral exploration company is encouraged by early drilling at a Snow Lake area prospect.
Solvista Gold Corp. has unveiled the first drill hole assay results from its ongoing drill program at the Talbot Property.
Drill hole TB-001 intersected 6.1 per cent copper, 5 per cent zinc, 8.2 grams per tonne (g/t) of gold and 112.1 g/t of silver across 9.13 metres, the company reported, adding that this includes 5.9 per cent copper, 5.8 per cent zinc, 16.6 g/t gold and 135.6 g/t silver across 3.8 metres.
“Our very first drill hole confirms that the Talbot Property has substantial potential to host high-grade massive sulphides containing significant thicknesses and grades in copper, gold, zinc and silver,” Ken Lapierre, president and CEO of Solvista, said in a news release. “Drill hole geophysical data from TB-001 has also identified large conductive anomalies that need to be drill tested to determine their significance. Drilling continues and we look forward in testing several additional high priority copper-gold-zinc-silver targets on the Talbot Property.”
Solvista can earn a 51 per cent interest in the Talbot Property from Hudbay by spending $6.12 million on exploration there over the next six years.
