Submitted by Flin Flon, Creighton and Area SPCA When summer comes around, there are a few things that bother us about the outdoors and mosquitoes are one of them! There are a lot of ways to protect ourselves from mosquitoes, but did you know there are a lot of ways to protect your dog as well? Here are a few suggestions to help your dog cope with those pests: Light mosquito coils for your dog if they are outside, but not too close to them. Rub a bit of bug spray on your dog's belly when they run in the grass and they will be protected. If the mosquitoes are too bad, simply just keep your dog inside. This is the easiest way of keeping your dog safe this summer. _ Written by summer student Taylor Purvis-Cardell
