Flin Flon's North of 53 Shrine Club made their latest contribution to the community this week when they donated tray lids to the local Meals on Wheels program. The Shriners presented 10 of the heavy duty lids, valued at a total of $500, to Brenda Veitch of Volunteer Services with the Nor-Man Regional Health Authority. "Our community is very fortunate to have such support from groups like the North of 53 Shrine Club," commented Veitch. The donation will allow every Meals on Wheels meal leaving the hospital to be topped off with its own lid. Veitch noted that many of the Shriners lend a hand to Meals on Wheels, delivering the meals to shut-ins and others in need. The Reminder will have more on the Meals on Wheels, an important community service, next week. Anyone wishing to lend a hand to the program may contact Brenda at 687-9315.
