On Jan. 22, just before 5 p.m., Pukatawagan RCMP were dispatched to a complaint of shots fired near a residence. Investigation reveals that an adult male had exited a residence in the community with a shotgun and fired a number of shots at a pick up truck. There were five occupants in the vehicle at the time of the shooting, three men and two women. There were no injuries. Kelsey Perry Bighetty, 40, has been arrested and remains in custody. Bighetty has ben charged with a number of Criminal Code offences including Attempt Murder, Discharge of a Firearm with Intent to Endanger Life, Possess a Firearm While Prohibited, and Breach of Probation. The accused is scheduled to appear in The Pas Provincial Court tomorrow. No further information is available at this time. Police continue to investigate. _ Pukatawagan RCMP
