Flin Flon RCMP have arrested a man on weapons charges after a search warrant on an uptown house last week.

Local police, working with the Emergency Response Team as part of an ongoing investigation, executed the search warrant on Hapnot Street in the afternoon Jan. 29. As part of the warrant, officers arrested 21-year-old Dylan Baker, originally from Winnipeg, along with seizing a firearm - a shotgun with a camouflage wrap - as well as a machete and multiple thousands of dollars in cash.

Baker has been charged with possession of a firearm when knowing possession is prohibited (an offense under Section 92.2 of the Criminal Code) and possession of property obtained by crime. He was released from police custody and is slated to appear in court March 3.

None of the charges have been proven in court.

According to RCMP, an investigation is continuing.
