Jonathon Naylor Editor A shortage of qualified tradespeople is forcing the Flin Flon School Division to adjust its hiring plans. At last week's school board meeting, trustees voted to advertise the current vacancy within the maintenance department as a 'maintenance helper' position. This is due to the fact the school division was unsuccessful in recruiting a journeyman electrician, the board noted. Also at the meeting, the board voted to hire Krysta Hammond as a half-time teacher to the end of June, and Tom Guthrie as a part-time teacher to the end of February. Trustees also placed nine additional teachers on substitute teacher agreements for 2012-13: Elaine Angelski; Lori Lawrence; Susan Power; Betty Bortis; Cindi Lee; Simeon Priddle; Margaret Galbraith; Darlene Myden; and Dori Sapergia.
