The Flin Flon Aqua Centre has received not only a facelift, but a new face to go along with it.
The building itself has seen a fresh coat of paint and some new fixtures.
On the inside, the City of Flin Flon has hired Lindsay Shirran as
the new Aqua Centre supervisor.
No stranger to the pool, Shirran has spent the last five years doing various jobs for the city and looks forward to her new position.
“I’m excited,” she
said. “I’m really looking forward to the job.”
Shirran officially began work as the supervisor on July 23, though she’s been at the pool for the past year and a half.
“I’ve been dealing with it for a while and I feel pretty organized,” she said.
The Aqua Centre will continue to offer programs like Aqua Fit, lap and family swims, and other favourites.
Rather than bringing in new programs, for now Shirran plans to continue to offer the successful programs currently
running.
“We have a good schedule now,” she said.
