A bill introduced in the Saskatchewan legislature Monday will provide for the sale of shares in the provincially-owned Information Services Corporation (ISC). ISC is unique among registry providers in Canada with experience ranging from building registry systems to modernizing aging registry systems. The province will retain 40 per cent of the shares in the company, which will maintain an ongoing dividend stream for the government. About 60 per cent of the shares will be offered to the public, which is expected to raise between $90 million and $120 million. Proceeds from the sale will be used to address infrastructure priorities.
