Ruth Betts School students brought some sunshine on a cloudy day to seniors at the Personal Care Home yesterday afternoon. Members of the school's student council and grade 5 class stopped by with gifts of carnations, hand-drawn pictures, and chocolate bars for the elderly residents. "We just thought we'd break up the winter day today and spread a little cheer," principal John Belfry announced to a roomful of seniors upon the students' arrival. Each of the 30 students was called on to hand deliver the gifts to each of the seniors, whose faces lit up with appreciative smiles. Pictured presenting the gifts to Vic Pettersen is Carter Bezo.
