Jonathon Naylor Editor A man suffered apparently minor injuries last week after the semi-trailer he was driving rear-ended another semi pulled over on the highway near Deschambault Lake. The collision occurred on Highway 106 near the Highway 165 intersection last Thursday, Feb. 16 at about 6:45 p.m. The driver of the first semi was experiencing mechanical difficulty and had pulled over on the side of the road. The second semi driver collided with the rear of the stationery vehicle, causing it to enter the ditch on the south side of the highway. The second semi jack-knifed across the highway, completely blocking traffic. The driver of the first semi, a 51-year-old man from Saskatoon, was not injured. The driver of the second semi, a 38-year-old man from Prince Albert, sustained what were believed to be minor injuries. The man was taken to the Flin Flon General Hospital by an ambulance out of Pelican Narrows. Members from Deschambault Lake RCMP arrived on scene to investigate. An RCMP collision analyst from Prince Albert also attended to assist. Police reopened one lane to traffic a little over seven hours after the accident, at 1:56 a.m. The highway was completely reopened at about 6:30 a.m.
