RCMP stopped about $5,600 worth of crack-cocaine from hitting the streets Friday after intercepting a package containing the drug at The Pas bus depot. Someone in Winnipeg had shipped the package to a resident of The Pas, but police seized it before it could be claimed. Cpl. Pat Olson of The Pas RCMP said he is certain that the drug was intended to be sold in The Pas and neighbouring Opaskwayak Cree Nation. No charges had been laid as of yesterday afternoon, but police continue with their investigation. The drug seizure took place at about 8 p.m. last Friday at the bus depot on Fisher Avenue.
