The Flin Flon RCMP would like to remind the public to please secure your premises when you are not home. This includes outdoor sheds, garages and vehicles. Opportunity is a key component in being victimized by property related offences. If you reduce the opportunity for perpetrators to commit offences, you reduce the opportunity for crime. Some cost effective and easy methods of reducing opportunity and deterring crime is additional lighting, placing yard equipment away after use, not leaving personal items in your vehicle such as CDs, bags, change, jackets, etcÉ This only creates a potential target for criminals, especially if in darker areas of the city, such as back lanes.
