The Flin Flon School Division will welcome 11 new teachers into local schools for the 2018-2019 school year.
Superintendent Constance McLeese explained that all 11 teachers are new to the division, and most are new to Flin Flon. The majority of those new faces will replace teachers who have retired or resigned positions, with one exception.
“We have increased support for early literacy and students at risk,” said McLeese.
“This equals a full time teacher.”
McLeese said the amount of new teachers arriving for the next school year is standard in her experience.
Eight new teachers began in Flin Flon during the 2017-2018 school year.
