Don't bother flipping on the weather channel Ñ Wiarton Willie the groundhog says winter has a way to go yet. Ontario's most famous rodent saw his shadow after coming out of his burrow yesterday morning, signaling to Canadians that six more weeks of winter are on the way. Across the nation, Willie's prediction was met with smiles from the likes of snowmobilers and skiers but with frowns from those who have just about had enough of the white stuff this year. But can Willie be trusted above educated meteorologists who don't happen to be covered in fur, dine on plants and hibernate? Apparently so, as locals in the Town of South Bruce Peninsula, Willie's hometown, swear the critter has a proven track record with a "90 per cent" success rate. Only time will tell if Willie's right this year.
