The Reminder and CFAR 590 will proudly welcome Santa Claus to town on Nov. 22 with the annual parade.
The Santa Claus Parade of Lights will take off on the Friday evening down Main Street and then Church Street.
While there are float entries already, both The Reminder and CFAR would like to see more.
“Remember, kids love this parade and the more entries the better,” reads a promotional poster for the Christmas event. “We need you.”
We want to see as many floats as possible this year for those on the sidelines to watch.
Float decorating has become an annual tradition for The Reminder and CFAR as we get together to decorate, plan, and enjoy each other’s company.
Between the two businesses we share ideas and collaborate thoughts to get the float in working order.
The Reminder and CFAR will of course have a float in the parade, but we want to see more.
And as an added incentive there will be float judging with prizes.
The winner of the contest will receive a total of $600 in advertising at The Reminder and CFAR 590.
Last year, Stittco Energy Ltd won the top spot.
Can they do it again? Or will your business, organization, school, family, or group of friends win?
To decorate a float for the Santa Claus Parade of Lights you will want to have an inverter that plugs into the lighter in the vehicle as well as lights and decorations.
As a reminder, there should be no live Santas on the floats.
