VMS Ventures is encouraged by the findings of a mechanical trenching, outcrop power washing, mapping and sampling program at its Sails Lake gold property near Snow Lake. The program was carried out last August in three main areas of the property _ the Long Zone, M-Zone and E-Zone. 'I am pleased with the results,' said Neil Richardson, chief operating officer of the Vancouver-based junior miner. Richardson said he looks forward to incorporating the results into a 3D geological model. He said the Long Zone mineralization remains open to the east and high-grade samples from the M-Zone have not been drill-tested. 'Both areas warrant follow-up work,' said Richardson. VMS said the Long Zone, M-Zone and E-Zone each consist of numerous large trenches that expose gold mineralization in association with quartz vein and bedrock-hosted blocky and acicular arsenopyrite. The Sails Lake property is 25 kilometres east of Snow Lake. It consists of eight claim blocks covering an area of some 1,900 hectares. Additional follow-up work on the project is warranted and will be reviewed in the upcoming months, VMS said.
