Town council hopes new signage in and around Creighton will bolster safety.
The town has erected signage setting the speed limit around Creighton Community School at 30 kilometres an hour at all times.
Some signage had previously stated that the speed limit only applied when the school was open, but it is now enforced around the clock and calendar.
School officials had asked council for the change after a motorist was reportedly observed weaving through children as they crossed the street earlier this year.
Path signs
The town has also installed signage along the walking path between Creighton and Flin Flon warning that motorized vehicles, such as snowmobiles and ATVs, are not allowed on the trail.
Town council heard that there have been some close calls with regard to motorized vehicles on the path, which opened in 2009.
