On March 16, The Pas RCMP, The Pas Fire Dept. and EMS were dispatched to The Pas Airport as a single engine aircraft had lost parts of its landing gear and was making an emergency landing. Transport Canada officers advised that at around 1:30 p.m. the Beaver aircraft was attempting to land on Grace Lake when the right ski broke off. The pilot avoided crashing by taking evasive action to get back in the air. The aircraft had damage to the undercarriage and fuselage. Around 2:30 p.m. the aircraft landed on the side of the runway without incident. Transport Canada officers described the landing as next too miraculous. The left ski had almost dislodged during the emergency landing. Transport Canada is investigating the incident.
