On Aug. 3, La Ronge RCMP received a complaint in regards to two teenaged girls _ including one from Deschambault Lake _ who ran away from a camp site at Devil's Lake north of La Ronge. Tristyne Ballantyne, 15, and Morgan Hystad, 14, were part of a canoe/camping excursion in the Missinippi Lake area. Their group set camp on an Island at Devil's Lake. They both swam away from their campsite and were picked up by a boater who dropped them off at the Devil's Lake Campground at about 1:30 p.m. They were later seen hitchhiking south on Hwy 102. Tristyne, from Deschambault Lake, is about 5'2' tall and weighs 120 lbs. (slender build). Her hair is black and shaved on one side of the head. Morgan Hystad, from St. Benedict, Sask., was described by witnesses as a little heavier with long, curly, dark coloured hair. Their intended destination is unknown. If you have any information about Tristyne and Morgan's whereabouts, please contact La Ronge RCMP at (306) 425-6730 or your local police detachment.
