A single vehicle rollover accident near the junction of Highway #39 and Provincial Road #392 had emergency and police services from Snow Lake outfitted and in attendance shortly after receipt of a call alerting them of the mishap. "On Saturday June 5, at approximately 4 p.m., the Snow Lake RCMP received a report of a single vehicle rollover approximately 2 km east of the Snow Lake junction on Provincial Highway #39," said Constable Don Arsenault, the RCMP officer who attended the accident scene. He advised that investigation into the accident shows that the vehicle was eastbound when the driver entered the shoulder area of the road and lost control of the vehicle while trying to correct its path and return to the paved portion of the road. "The vehicle, a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee, entered the south ditch and rolled several times before coming to a rest upright," said Arsenault. "Four occupants, ranging in age from sixteen months to sixty-one years, sustained varying degrees of injury." The vehicle's occupants, all of whom were from Nelson House, Manitoba, were transported to the Snow Lake Health Center and from there to St. Anthony's Hospital in The Pas. None of the injuries were life threatening. Three of the persons were treated and released, while the driver was admitted to hospital for observation. Arsenault said indications are that all subjects were wearing seatbelts at the time of the collision. "The investigation is continuing," the officer said.
