The Flin Flon Community Youth Resource Centre and CADAC are looking for young role models. The groups are seeking nominations for the Healthy Youth Role Model Award, which consists of a plaque, gift basket and a $50 gift. "They work hard to achieve things in life and it's important to recognize the efforts they put forth," CADAC staffer Tiffany Harker said of young role models. Nominations for the award close this Friday, November 14. Nomination forms are available at the Flin Flon General Hospital, the Flin Flon-Creighton Public Library, the Flin Flon Indian-Metis Friendship Centre, the Community Youth Resource Centre, Many Faces Education Centre and Hapnot Collegiate. "Anyone can nominate a youth 15-19," noted Harker. Nominees must meet the following criteria: Be between the ages of 15 and 19. Be drug-free. Live in the Flin Flon, Creighton or Denare Beach area. Attend a local school. Be involved in extracurricular activities. The award will be presented during the week of November 16-22. Last year's winner was Denare Beach's Jolene Gardiner.
