Rockcliff Metals is looking at 17 high-priority geophysical anomalies on its Laguna gold project.
According to a release, a survey was completed in an area covering the Laguna gold mine
trend. The area, which covers a five-by-one-kilometre space is a gold-rich, sulphide-bearing quartz vein environment.
Ken Lapierre, president and CEO of Rockcliff Metals said the 17 anomalies are all worth follow-up exploration. The Laguna gold mine was last drilled in 1944.
Just days previous to this discovery, Rockcliff acquired the 2,557 ha Lucky Jack gold property adjacent to the Laguna project.
In other mining news, Foran Mining Corpora-tion announced a technical service agreement with Glencore Canada Corporation on Dec. 4. The agreement will see Glencore Canada provide assistance in completing a feasibility study on Foran’s McIlevenna Bay project. The project, located 65 km west of Flin Flon is Foran’s flagship deposit.
Foran is hoping to move towards a production decision for McIlvenna Bay, and the feasibility study is a step in that direction. To complete a feasibility study, an infill drilling program will be required – something Glencore and Foran will jointly design. If this preliminary work suggests an economically viable project, the parties will continue with the feasibility study.
