Rick Bacon (centre), the outgoing director of works and operations for the City of Flin Flon, joined past and present colleagues at a farewell luncheon Wednesday at City Hall. They included former mayors George Fontaine (from left) and Dennis Ballard, current mayor Cal Huntley and former mayor Tom Therien. Bacon’s last day on the job was yesterday. He is taking over as director of municipal services for Alberta’s Lethbridge County, southeast of Calgary. The city has yet to name his replacement.
