The suspects in Flin Flon's latest homicides have been remanded into custody after appearing in The Pas Provincial Court on Monday. Mitchell Whitbread, 25, and James Desmarais, 45, are scheduled to make their next court appearances on May 28, again in The Pas. Neither man has entered a plea. Whitbread was charged with second-degree murder in the May 12 death of John Kellighan (Kelli) Eyres, 31. Desmarais faces the same charge for the unrelated death of Raylene Dawn Grant last fall.
