After months of paperwork and patience, Flin Flon’s Northern Refugee Sponsorship Committee will welcome a new family to Flin Flon this week.
Committee chair-woman Laura Sparling said the family includes two parents and two teenage boys. Originally from Syria, the family has travelled from Turkey, where they have been living as refugees.
Since fall 2015, the refugee sponsorship committee has been fundraising and collecting household donations to help support the incoming family.
