Submitted by Flin Flon and District Environment Council The 17th Annual Great Recycling Event is set for this Sunday, June 10 at Phantom Lake. People can walk, run or cycle to support the community recycling program. Participants will start at Phantom Lake at 10:30 a.m. Cyclists will ride a 15-km route through Flin Flon, then follow the Perimetre Highway back to Phantom Lake. Runners and walkers can choose a 3-km route to the Creighton Freeway and back, or an 8-km course following the Flin Flon-Creighton Walking Path and a route through Creighton and back to Phantom Lake. The event will wind up with a barbecue for participants. Participants can collect pledges or make a donation of $20 or $35/family to support the recycling program. Pledges of $10 or more are eligible for a tax receipt. Pledge sheets are available at Pharmasave, The Orange Toad, Public Library and the Aqua Centre. For more information call Deb at 688-2996.
