The frozen body of a Northern Manitoba teenager was recovered Friday from remote Island Lake about 500 kilometres east of Flin Flon. The 14-year-old girl from the St. Theresa Point First Nation had been reported missing by her parents. The discovery came after police were alerted of footprints leading onto the thin ice of the lake. Police could not confirm whether the girl froze to death or drowned. Foul play is not suspected.
