On April 7, nearly 50 guests came together at the Flin Flon Public Library to celebrate the art of poetry. Twenty-eight readers shared poems, ranging from the silly to the profound, and a number of the readers shared their own work. Highlights included T.S. Eliot's witty 'How to Address a Cat', read in perfect Toastmaster style, a two-voice poem read by Glenda and Harry Hobbs, and a series of art-response pieces written by Hapnot Collegiate students and read skillfully by art teacher Karen Clark. The annual poetry reading is organized by the Flin Flon Writers Guild, Toastmasters Society and the library in celebration of National Poetry Month. This year's event was particularly special as it marked the 30th anniversary of the Flin Flon Writers Guild.
