As part of its transition into a bi-weekly publication, The Reminder will launch a redesign starting with our next edition on Wednesday, August 5.
The goal is to give the newspaper a fresh, more modern appearance with improved flow for our readers and increased visibility for our advertisers.
“This will mark the most dramatic overhaul of the appearance and style of The Reminder in more than a generation,” said editor Jonathon Naylor. “It is the result of an extensive process, examining what has worked well for other publications and devising a look and feel that suits our community newspaper.”
In addition to a new look, Reminder staff are always working on ways to keep the news and information we present fresh and relevant.
This year we have added a weekly Community Calendar, an arts column written by local arts aficionado Elly Spencer and features such as Volunteer Spotlight and Why I Do It.
“We want to be the source for what is happening in the community,” said publisher Valerie Durnin. “We rely on our readers to keep us informed about what’s happening in our community, and what they want to read and see. We welcome your comments and ideas.”
“The emphasis is on quality,” Naylor said.
Beginning next week, The Reminder will publish every Wednesday and Friday. Our final Monday edition was published on July 27.
