Police are searching for an unidentified man in connection with an incident involving a 14-year-old girl in Sandy Bay, Saskatchewan.
Sandy Bay RCMP say they received a report of the girl walking home from a relative’s house when a man driving a pickup truck stopped to talk to her at about 11 pm on Thursday, March 24.
The man called the girl over to the window and, when she was close enough, grabbed her by the wrist, police said.
She was able to break free and ran home while the truck drove off in the opposite direction, RCMP said.
Police describe the vehicle as a black truck, possibly a Dodge Ram, driven by the lone male.
RCMP describe the male as a man in his 30s with light skin. He was wearing a black hoodie, a hat that said “Creighton” on it and glasses, police said, adding that he also had a scratch on his left cheek.
Police have been unable to locate the man. They have provided media outlets with a sketch of what he looks like.
Sandy Bay RCMP continue to investigate. Anyone with information is asked to contact their nearest police detachment or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
