A summary of calls received in Flin Flon from Oct. 13 - Oct. 19, submitted by Flin Flon RCMP:

Oct. 13

No calls! I guess even criminals need a day off.

 

Oct. 14

Report of a noisy party. Police attended and the party ended shortly after.

Report of a wanted person in a residence. This was not possible as police already had the person in custody.

911 call from a care home. Police called back and there was no emergency.

Calls received of an intoxicated person in a business parking lot. Police attended and located the person. They were taken to hospital for a medical assessment.

Police conducted a traffic stop which lead to a seizure of cocaine and ecstasy. A male from Creighton and a male from Flin Flon were arrested and charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking. Both were remanded in custody.

Report of vandalism to a local day care. The matter is still under investigation.

Report of a 911 hang up call from a residence. Police attended and learned that children in the residence were playing with the phone.

 

Oct. 15

Report of an intoxicated person needing police assistance. Police attended and found the person was not so intoxicated they could not care for themselves. Police drove them home.

Report of a dispute between roommates involving custody of a cat amongst other items.

Report of a group of people drinking near a parkade. Police attended but the group had dispersed prior to police arrival.

Report of a break and enter at a residence. Matter is under investigation.

Report from an intoxicated person wanting another intoxicated person removed from their residence. Alcohol is believed to be a factor...

Report of a window being smashed at a residence. A second report of a window being smashed at a nearby residence. Matter is under investigation.

 

Oct. 16

Report of a disturbance from inside a residence. Police attended but the disturbance was heard and not located.

Report of a vehicle being taken without owner's consent. The vehicle was later returned. Matter under investigation.

Alarm call to a local business. Deemed to be false alarm.

Report of a shed on fire near a residence. The fire was extinguished and a person of interest was brought in for questioning. Matter is under investigation.

Report of a patient at the Flin Flon hospital too intoxicated to care for themselves but medically fine.

Police requested to assist in conducting a well-being check on a person whose parents had not heard from them.

Report of a theft from the liquor store. Matter under investigation.

Report of harassment over Facebook.

Another report of a theft from the liquor store. Matter under investigation.

Report of an online fraud. Matter under investigation.

Another report of a theft from the liquor store.  A person was arrested and charged for three counts of theft from the liquor store. This person also had a warrant for their arrest, therefore they were remanded into custody.

Report of a dispute over a tablet which resulted in a pushing match. Police empowered the subjects of the complaint to work the matter out.

Police observed an intoxicated person stumbling down the street. The person was arrested and lodged for their own safety.

 

Oct. 17

Report of loud music. Police patrolled the area where the music was allegedly coming from but found no such disturbance.

Report of a dispute between a child and their parent where an assault was alleged. The child would not cooperate with police therefore the matter was referred to CFS for follow up.

While on patrol police located a very intoxicated person stumbling down the street. This person was too intoxicated to care for themselves therefore were arrested and lodged. They had a friend with them who was also intoxicated and quickly talked themselves into also being a guest of the Queen’s for the night.

Another report of a theft from the liquor store. Police learned the person with sticky fingers was also the culprit involved in the Oct. 16 thefts. The person was later located, arrested and remanded in custody.

Reports made of a disturbance near uptown. A person was located and arrested. The person was on conditions to abstain from alcohol, and was charged accordingly. Of note, the person tried to insult police through rapping – which was kind of neat!

Report of children throwing rocks at a residence. Police attended and escorted the youths home.

Report of a fire at a residence. Police and fire department attended and learned someone was trying to get an old barbecue going.

Police requested to do a well-being check. The being was checked and found to be well.

Parking complaint – the adrenaline rush we signed up for as police officers.

 

Oct. 18

Report of a fight. Police located one of the combatants who did not want any further police involvement.

Another parking complaint – what a week.

Report of a possible break and enter. Police attended and learned it was just people trying to see their friend.

Report of a fight at a residence. Police attended and no one at the residence were aware of a fight.

 

Oct. 19

Report of unwanted persons in a residence. They got the hint before police arrived.

Report of people arguing in a bar. Upon arrival, police learned they were now getting along.

Report of a runaway youth. The youth eventually returned home on their own accord.

Report of an unwanted person in a residence. The homeowner did not want police assistance when police arrived.

Report of an unwanted person in a residence. Police attended and everyone agreed to leave except for an intoxicated youth who instead had some choice words for police. The youth talked himself into a cell.

Report of a man attempting to shoplift feminine hygiene products. Police attended and spoke to the person who agreed to pay for the product.

Report of a person unhappy with service at a local eatery and letting the employee know about their unhappiness in an aggressive fashion.

Report of a disturbance involving several people. Police attended and the group had already dispersed.

Report of an intoxicated person at the hospital no longer needing medical attention. Police attended and drove the person to a sober friend.

Third party complaint of a person having been assaulted with a weapon. Police spoke with the victim who did not want police involved.

Report of a domestic violence matter. A person was arrested, charged and remanded in custody.

Report of a person attempting to fight other people at a bar. Police attended and the aggressor had already departed. This same person then went to a local gas station and stole some snacks after assaulting an employee. Matter is under investigation.

While on patrol, police located an intoxicated youth stumbling around. The youth was arrested and lodged as no sober parent cared to look after the youth.
