Winter is definitely in the air ? and with the colder weather and snow the outdoor enthusiasts are tempted to get out on their snow machines. Police would like to remind the general public that most lakes are not completely frozen over. The pilot from CASARA, along with the RCMP pilot, report seeing numerous pockets of green water on the lakes. Be careful ? there are still many months of winter left ? so wait until the lakes are thoroughly frozen over. During the past week numerous accident reports have been filled out at the local detachment. Remember to slow down and drive carefully. Flin Flon RCMP members have been kept busy investigating the following incidents ? seven motor vehicle accidents, assisting Thompson Detachment with a spousal assault, intoxicated persons in public places, three reports of vandalism, large dogs running loose, trespassing, loud parties, break, enter and theft, nuisance phone calls and a complaint of sexual assault.
