A Saskatchewan-wide arrest warrant has been issued for a former Sandy Bay nurse who allegedly took overtime pay under false pretenses. Michelle Marie Moore, 49, faces seven counts of fraud under $5,000. RCMP allege that on seven occasions, she fraudulently claimed callback overtime for seeing patients. Moore, a registered nurse, is now believed to be living in Nova Scotia. Police gave her place of residence as Marshall Town, Digby County in that province. Sandy Bay RCMP formally pressed charges this past Saturday, July 13, but the charges stem from incidents going back more than a year. In June of 2012, the Mamawetan Churchill River Regional Health Authority, which provides health care to the reserve, received a complaint from two of its employees. It related to allegations of fraud involving one of the registered nurses assigned to work in the community, 190 kilometres outside Creighton. In July of 2012, Mamawetan began an investigation of its own on Moore. In April of 2013, police were notified, leading to the charges and province-wide arrest warrant.
