A summary of calls to the Flin Flon RCMP for the period of Monday, July 11 to Sunday, July 17, as provided by the RCMP:

Monday, July 11

• False alarm at a Flin Flon business.

• Report of a hit and run to a pedestrian who suffered minor injuries. The injured party was unable to provide licence plate for the suspect vehicle, and no charges were laid. 

• A residential alarm call was deemed to be false. 

• Report of an intoxicated male banging on a female’s door. Police attended and located the male, who was arrested and lodged.

• Report of a disturbance coming from a residence. Police attended and learned that a male and female were yelling at each other over relationship issues. The pair agreed to separate for the night. 

Tuesday, July 12

• A 911 call was received from a land line with only static on the line, this is a common problem when thunderstorms are occurring. 

• Report of a male causing problems at  a residence. The female caller stated everyone was now going to bed and she apologized for calling police. Apology accepted. 

• Report of a disturbance at a residence. Police attended and learned that a male and female were having a verbal argument and had since separated. 

• Report of an intoxicated male hitting things at a residence. Police attended and located the suspect sitting outside, very intoxicated. The male was arrested and lodged for the evening. 

• Report of an argument between a couple at their residence. Police attended and learned the matter was only verbal in nature. The couple separated. 

Wednesday, July 13

• Report of two people walking down Green Street wearing masks similar to the mask the villain wears in the Scream movies. The males were not located; unknown if they like scary movies.

• Report of a group of people yelling at each other in the stairwell of an apartment building. Police attended but the group had left. 

• Report of a male chasing some youths away from a vehicle. It appeared the youths were up to no good. 

• Report of a break and enter into a shed where a TV, vodka and a speaker were stolen. The matter is under investigation.  

• Report of a male contacting a female despite being on conditions to have no contact with the female. The matter is under investigation. 

• Report of a hit-and-run to a vehicle. It was later learned the owner’s son had backed into a pole and tried to cover for his mistake. 

• Report of a theft from a residence of a boat, motor and trailer. Resident had not been home in over two weeks, therefore was unsure when this happened. 

• A 911 call received from a local establishment turned out to be a false alarm. 

Thursday, July 14

• Report of yelling on Church Street. Police conducted patrols but nothing was heard. 

• Report of a bullet found on the floor of the Flin Flon Public Library. It is believed the bullet had been part of a necklace.

• Report of an argument between a male and a female. Police attended and tried to de-escalate the situation, but the male would not calm down. He was arrested and lodged. 

• Report of a female attempting suicide. Police and ambulance intervened and the female was transported to hospital. 

• Police requested to do a well-being check on a female as her mother called and found the line was busy. The mother thought this was odd as it was late at night. Police attended and all was well. 

Friday, July 15

• Report of two males fighting in the parking lot at Flintoba Shopping Centre. The incident was reported for information purposes only, as the complainant was not interested in pursuing charges. 

• Report of a family of bears out for supper at a local garbage can. 

• Report of a disturbance at a residence. Police attended and found an intoxicated male and female arguing. Both
were arrested. The male was bound by conditions to abstain from alcohol
and was charged accor-dingly. 

• Report of a male punching a female’s door while intoxicated. Police attended and the male was transported to a friend’s residence for the evening. 

• Report of a theft of a vehicle from a residence. The vehicle was later recovered and the matter is under investigation. 

Saturday, July 16

• Report of a female not wanting a male in her residence any longer. Police attended and learned nothing illegal had transpired, therefore the male was transported to his residence. 

• Report of a male intoxicated and punching walls in his residence. Police learned the male’s mother picked him up to care for him. 

• While on patrol, police located a very intoxicated male doing his best impression of walking through a parking lot. The male was arrested and lodged due to his intoxicated state. 

• Report of a male and female fighting. Police spoke to both, who said they were play fighting. Unfortunately for the male, he had an outstanding warrant and was arrested. He was later released. 

• Report of an intoxicated male in front of a local bar. The male had been escorted from the bar multiple times. Police attended and escorted the male home. 

• False alarm from a residence. 

• Report of a female spray-painting on the road in front of a residence and threatening the homeowner. The matter is under investigation. 

Sunday, July 17

• Report of a fight on the street. Police attended and located one of the combatants, who would not disclose anything about what had happened. 

• False 911 call. The caller was found to be trying to program 911 onto their speed dial.

• Report of a male sleeping on the steps of Flin Flon City Hall. Police located and woke the male, who was transported to cells to continue his slumber. 

• Report of vehicle and garage being entered sometime overnight. 

• Report of a break and enter to a shed. Nothing was reported missing.
