MP candidates Bev Desjarlais, Bill Archer, and possibly Chief Ron Evans, will answer phone calls during a radio debate slated for tomorrow morning. The debate, which begins at 10 a.m., will be broadcast live from Thompson across the Arctic Radio Network of CHTM in Thompson, CFAR-590 in Flin Flon, and CJ-1240 in The Pas. Desjarlais, the New Democratic Party candidate, is seeking a third term as MP against newcomers Archer of the Conservatives and Chief Evans of the Liberals. The candidates will be given three minutes to make an opening statement before accepting phone calls from listeners. They will also give a one-minute closing statement. Also running for MP of the Churchill Riding is David Nickarz of the Green Party.6/23/2004
