According to Lorna Heuchart, the president of the local Quilters Guild, there were four quilts sent from Flin Flon to the victims of the British Columbia fires. Apparently there are over 700 "beds" that were destroyed in the fires and quilters from across Canada are trying to make quilts for each and every one of these "beds". If you are a local quilter and would like to participate in this wonderful project, you certainly are welcome to join with other quilters in Canada to do so.
